Decades of Local Experience

For more than 20 years, Carl has worked with local officials to pass ballot initiatives and further the development of local projects. He negotiated with land owners and developers to set aside ground for the Great Rivers Greenway trail development and worked with Centennial Greenway personnel in surrounding cities to ensure the system was able to connect to the Katy Trail. Additionally, he presided over an organization that worked with county officials to pass legislation known as Proposition S, which regulated annexation and positively directly impacted Dardenne Prairie city boundaries. He is currently chairman of the Dardenne Prairie Town Square Vision Steering Committee and president of Cordoba HOA.

In addition to his internship with the CDA in the City of St. Louis during his last year of college, Carl has served in communities effectively through involvement in the home owners associations in various communities in which he has resided; a collective period of 12 years. During that time, he worked with local community stakeholders, MODOT, road contractors, utility companies, and state public service officials to defend and improve those communities.

Other areas of community service include past participation in parents organizations at Christian High School in O’Fallon, as an assistant scout master and committee chairman of a local boy scout troop, and as a door greeter at Harvester Christian Church.

In The News

Carl Maus in the Mid Rivers Newsmagazine (March 20) - “My top priorities are keeping our city safe by expanding our police protection, maintaining our infrastructure, and keeping our city vibrant by offering parks, ball fields, recreational programming and cultural events for the community … My wife, Linda, and I chose to make the St. Charles community our home and raise our family 40 years ago. We built our new home in Dardenne Prairie  five years ago. I’ve been recognized in an article in the St. Charles County Post as one of 10 people ‘who made a difference locally.’ I’m passionate about making things better than the way I found them and won’t quit until the job is done.”

Carl Maus in the Mid Rivers Newsmagazine (March 4) - “I believe that any development needs to be balanced, the best use of the land and attract businesses to the area. That, in turn, should generate a greater tax base, provide jobs and entice residents to patronize those businesses and fill those jobs, all of which positively impact the city. My personal vision for the area is to develop a citizen-driven, community-centered, recreation and retail destination that preserves the integrity and feel of Dardenne Prairie.”
